"The ability to learn faster than the competition is often the only sustainable competitive advantage a company can have” (Arie de Geus)
In an increasingly changing environment companies and RTDI centres need to know the state of the technologies and of the market to which they belong. Likewise, management and mediator agents (Technological Centres, consultants, technology transfer offices, etc.) need to know it in order to offer the services the companies and RTDI centres need.
In order to make this objective possible, it is necessary to watch the markets and their main actors, the products, the technologies, the legislation, etc in a tidy and systematic way. This way of watching is technically known as Economic or Competitive Intelligence, and it includes various tools and methodologies of extraction, organisation, analysis, and presentation of the information. When the vigilance is only focused on the information about technologies is known as Technological Watch.
RTDI has developed a strong knowledge about sources of scientific and technological information. We also have at our disposal our own methodologies of vigilance, which we have developed along our professional experiences, and supporting tools in order to search and analyse the information.
From RTDI we offer advanced services of Technological Watch:
-
Reports of Technological Watch for companies, RTDI centres and sectors: studies of the state of the art and main scientific-technological trends in a specific area, which can be prepared in a punctual or continuous way. The objective can be multiple: to value investments in new technologies or to develop new products, to identify the best solution to a technological need, to determine the innovative potential of an RTDI project or initiative (for example: whether it will be patented or not), to design support programmes for the improvement of the sector (including, for example, support to the enforcement of new legislation), etc.
-
Design and Implementation of certifiable systems of Technological Watch and Economic Intelligence, so as the companies, RTDI centres and mediators can internally develop the vigilance work. The objective is to design, implant and, if the customer wants, keep structures and resources for the management of sources of information, catching and organisation of the information obtained and its use or exploitation. The rule UNE 166006:2006 can be used as a structural framework in case you are interested in a future certification of the system.
Our objective is to offer a service perfectly adapted to the needs of each customer, and that gives value information for each case.
